Services

The Layer Above Your Books, and the Books Underneath

Four objectives a finance team rarely gets to on its own, and the books underneath them. Inside each are the standard services every firm sells, grouped by the objective they serve rather than sold as a menu. Most clients start with one, and none of them is conditional on the others.

The Books Underneath

When you are ready, we can be the whole function too. Full-service bookkeeping includes the month-end close; we do not sell the close as a separate service, because it is not one.

Where They Meet

The books decide whether every package and forecast starts from something true, and the four lines between the categories are drawn once, where the postures are explained. Where one category ends and the next begins →

Ready for the Audit, and With You Through It

We prepare you for the audit; we do not perform it

Getting a company ready for an attest engagement, and supporting it through one, is one of the main things we do. The engagement itself — an audit, a review, or a compilation — has to come from your independent accountants, and we do not perform them. What we do is make sure that when they arrive the schedules, the evidence and the answers are already there, and stay beside you until they leave. If what you need is the audit itself, tell us and we will say so plainly rather than take the work.

How Any of Them Is Engaged

ReviewReview · You have the processYour team does all of the work. We read what it produced — the books and the close, a package before it goes, a forecast, a readiness gap — and send a written response on what looks wrong and what looks thin.We post no entries and send nothing on your behalf. The cheapest way to find out whether you need the next posture.

You have the process

All of the work is yours. We read what your team prepared and write back; we prepare nothing.

With YouWith You · You are short-handedWe prepare the part of the scope that is ours — the books through the close, the reporting packages, the readiness work, the forecast — on a standing cadence with an agreed cut-off. The rest stays with your team, and the letter names which is which. We prepare; you approve. Nothing we prepare becomes final until one of your people has approved it.Your team stays inside the process — fetching, reviewing, signing off step by step — rather than receiving a finished month.

You are short-handed

The work is shared, inside your process: part of it is your team's and part of it is ours, and your team signs off as we go.

For YouFor You · You have no in-house functionWe own all of the work: an agreed scope run end to end — fetching, preparing, reconciling, delivering — as the whole finance function rather than a pair of hands inside yours.Where a category has an outside party — a lender, a buyer, an auditor — we are their point of contact. The final sign-off on every deliverable is your management's, never ours. An opinion on the books comes only from an attest engagement, and we do not perform those — we get you ready for them and support you through them. For You always runs under an engagement letter with a defined scope.

You have no in-house function

All of the work is ours. We run the whole function and bring it to your management, finished, to sign off.

The final sign-off is your management’s on all three — we never sign off on your books.
